Michael Brand is an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley.

Michael is working with Dr. Nicole Starosielski to investigate the sustainability of the global subsea telecommunications network, a system that transports almost 100% of transoceanic Internet traffic. He is currently focusing on applying behavioral economics techniques to the communication of sustainability efforts surrounding cables. Michael is working towards his Bachelor of Science - BS, Environment, Economics and Policy.
