Irish data center operator Servecentric has expanded its presence at Digital Realty Trust's Dublin facility with a new lease agreement.

The company is taking a DRT Turnkey solution. ServeCentric privately funded managed services and data center operator which was set up in August 2002. It claims to be Ireland's leading managed services and data centre operator.

DRT's Turn-Key Data centre offering is built using the company's proprietary POD Architecture) and uses metered power to ensure that clients pay only for the power that they use.

"Digital Realty Trust's Turn-Key data centers enable managed services companies like ServeCentric to respond rapidly to customer needs with an ideal data center environment to support their mission critical applications," said Brent Behrman, Vice President of Digital Realty Trust.

Meanwhile DRT has started work on a site in Ashburn in Virginia with a ground breaking ceremony at the site Virginia's government is seeking to attract more data center investment through recently passed laws on tax breaks for investments of $150 million and over which will create 50 or more jobs.
