The Internet Service Provider said the new 3,000 sqm facility will be able to host 400 racks and offer 1.8MW of capacity.

Set to go live over two phases, the site is expected to be completed by 2026. It is reportedly located on N. Ershova Street in Kaazn, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.

General director of PJSC Tattelecom Ayrat Nurutdinov said: “On this site, we will build a data center, a transformer substation, and an administrative office center for 200 jobs. The data center will be of the highest level of reliability - according to the tier three standard. The transformer substation has a total capacity of 1.8 MW with a reserve of up to 3.6 MW.”

Though it can trace its roots back to the late 1800s, Tattelcom was officially formed in 1998 by the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan. The company offers fixed and wireless Internet, telephony, IoT, and TV services.

“Today's event marks the next stage in the history of the enterprise. I support this project and appeal to all involved departments with a request to provide assistance. Have a good journey!” added Rustam Nurgalievich, Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan.
