An application has been filed to expand the scope of a previously approved T5 data center campus in Augusta, Georgia.
In a recent DRI filing with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Eagle South LLC has filed for a data center campus known as Project Eisenhower. T5 has confirmed to DCD it is no longer involved in developing the site.
To be located in Augusta–Richmond County, the project is described as a data center development, consisting of six two-story buildings with a phased development totaling approximately 2.15 million sq ft (200,200 sqm) of office/warehousing space off Gordon Highway.
The first phase of construction is set to be completed in Q2 2026.
Previously approved as DRI 3715, this week’s new filing is described as a ‘revised project’ for what was previously T5’s proposed T5@Augusta campus.
DRI 3715, filed in 2022, saw T5 aim to develop four two-story buildings totaling 1.67 million sq ft (155,150 sqm) at 2111 Powell Road. Construction was set to begin in 2024 and complete around 2033.
T5 officially announced the Augusta project in January 2022, saying at the time it planned to develop the 140-acre site to offer 200MW of capacity.
T5 told DCD it "concluded its involvement in this particular project approximately 18 months ago."
Elsewhere in Georgia, T5 currently operates the T5@Atlanta site at 1456 Trae Lane outside Atlanta in Lithia Springs.
