Orange has rolled out commercial 5G services in Jordan.
The operator switched on the service this week across several areas of Amman and Irbid.
It's also the second country in the Africa and Middle East region that Orange has launched 5G services, after switching the service on Botswana in November.
During the same month, Orange Jordan first piloted the 5G service in Amman, the country's capital.
"Orange Jordan is the second Orange country to launch 5G in the Middle East & Africa enabling massive development for main infrastructure and accordingly accelerated digital transformation, smart cities, and many use cases in diverse industries such as entertainment, health, manufacturing, education and transportation," said Jerome Henique, CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa.
Orange has become the second mobile operator in the country to roll out 5G services after Umniah won that race back in May. Zain is still yet to launch its 5G service.
