Microsoft's Teams service was hit by a thirteen-hour outage starting late on Friday and continuing into Saturday.

The issue caused some to be unable to log in at all, while others reported missed messages, missing attachments, and delays in communicating.

Microsoft blamed the outage on "a networking issue impacting a portion of the Teams service." The problem began at around 16:45 UTC, with the company completing a failover for the EMEA region two hours later.

A similar "failover operation did not provide immediate relief to all end users in North and South America regions," Microsoft said.

The company said that it could confirm that "Microsoft Teams service and features have been restored or have returned to optimal health" as of 5:53 am.
