DC Blox is planning another campus outside Atlanta, Georgia.

The US operator this week announced it has acquired 72 acres of land in Conyers, Georgia, for a new data center campus. Conyers is located to the southeast of Atlanta in Rockdale County.

At full build-out, the campus will feature 750,000 square feet (69,675 sqm) of space with 216MW of total power committed by Georgia Power.

A hyperscale client is anchoring the first phase of the project, and 160,000 sq ft (14,865 sqm) of space will be available to additional tenants with expected delivery in Q4 2025.

“DC Blox’s ability to build vertically integrated infrastructure solutions including data centers and dark fiber networks is proving to be an important differentiator for our customers,” said Jeff Uphues, CEO of DC Blox.

“We have built a reputation for the development of cutting-edge colocation data centers, cable landing stations, and fiber networks across the Southeast, so we are well-positioned to meet the rigorous requirements of hyperscalers and AI/ML platform and application providers.”

DC Blox noted it has been granted certain incentives by the Development Authority of Rockdale County through its agent, Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council (CREDC). The facility will be developed with DC Blox’s design and construction partners: Evans General Contractors, DLB Associates, Corgan, Thomas & Hutton, and Bennett & Pless.

"A focus shared by each member of the Authority is to achieve thoughtful and impactful growth that reflects positively within our community and the region,” said Dr. Stephen Bovle, chairman of the Development Authority of Rockdale County.

“DC Blox certainly meets the criteria of the goals we have discussed over the last eighteen months and its presence represents a step forward for the vision we share for our community."

The company operates one existing facility in Atlanta in the Brookhaven area. The facility, at 6 West Druid Hills Drive, spans 3,350 sq ft (311 sqm) and has two 1MW generators. It has 6,470 sq ft (600 sqm) expansion potential.

Last month the company broke ground on a new data center in the Douglasville area of Atlanta. Set on 55 acres, the two-story data center campus will feature twelve data halls, totaling 750,000 square feet (69,680 sqm) of gross space. The site will offer 180MW, and customers are expected to move in from Q3 2025.

DC Blox also operates facilities at four other locations across Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama; and Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the landing station in Myrtle Beach. It is planning another facility in High Point, North Carolina. The company recently announced plans for a new 45MW data center campus in South Carolina's Berkeley County.
