Antenna Hungária has reached an agreement to sell MIS Omega Mobilhálózat, which owns Digi mobile infrastructure.

The company, which is a subsidiary of 4iG, has been acquired by state-owned Pro-M for HUF68 billion ($198 million).

The deal sees Pro-M snap up 2,500 towers, both active and passive radio network assets, plus the rights and spectrum licenses for the use of the 1800 MHz frequency band.

4iG had negotiated with several buyers before reaching an agreement with Pro-M.

Pro-M is set to pay for the assets in three installments until July 31, 2024, with the deal including the cost of the one-year operation and the costs of building the new core network for the tower infrastructure.

Pro-M is a subsidiary of NISZ National Infocommunications Services Company, and is also the telecoms service provider for the Hungarian emergency services.

Last year 4iG, along with state-owned Corvinus, agreed a deal worth $1.8bn to acquire Vodafone's Hungarian business unit. The deal closed in February.
