As data centers continue to manage burgeoning demand, power supply instability and their commitments to net-zero, it is no wonder that the industry is seeing heavy research and investment into onsite power and cooling generation. In particular, microgrids have come to the fore as a solution that promises to solve these challenges, but given the vast investment requirements, how can we be assured of their ROI and how can we begin to make microgrids part of the data center ecosystem?
