Panel: How is the data center energy ecosystem evolving to support the transition to carbon neutral, sustainable operations?
As data centers strive to meet their 2030 environmental targets whilst also balancing the growing demand for IT, it is imperative that they make tangible steps to implement renewables into their operations. However, the sun doesn’t always shine, and the wind doesn’t always blow, so how can this be achieved in a way that doesn’t compromise on uptime?
This episode will explore the variety of renewable options available to data centers, and consider the true carbon cost of different alternative fuels. It is also important to address how the relationship with the grid will evolve, and how PPAs can aid data centers in securing a reliable supply of clean energy in order to position their businesses for a green future. This episode will also examine successful examples of operations who are making headway in their energy transition journey, and comment on the technologies and energy storage solutions they have implemented in order to meet their 2030 goals.
