For the first time, digital infrastructure energy consumers are able to see their total energy consumption: electricity, warm water, and heat in real time. Reports show that the increased awareness changes energy behavior in a positive direction for the environment. In addition, affordable Smart Grid technology has been tested in grid areas where this kind of technology was not economically viable before - this session shows how the sustainable data center factors into these advances in grid network tech, and how we go about planning our future Smart Cities.
