In February 2010, US startup Bloom Energy has launched a fuel cell technology that is says could have a big impact on anyone running a data center. Large customers are already lined up - it says the product will be seen in use in two years time. Its patented solid oxide fuel cell technology used for its Energy Server is a new class of distributed power generator it says produces clean, reliable and affordable electricity at the customer site.
