Data Center Engineering Leader, Cummins IncDr. Shashikant More is Data Center Engineering Leader, at Cummins Power Systems, Minneapolis, MN, USA. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in acoustics from Purdue University. Before joining Cummins, Dr. More conducted doctoral research on aircraft noise which was sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Transport Canada. He received master’s degree from University of Cincinnati and his research was focused on Vibro-Acoustics analysis and Active Noise Control of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners.
He is an active contributor to the field of industrial product and environmental noise research, including programs with the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the U.S. National Park Service (NPS). He is a member and conference session organizer/chair of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE) and a reviewer of journal papers published in prestigious journals such as International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH), Basel, Switzerland; Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA), USA; and Noise Control Engineering Journal (NCEJ), USA.
