Representative of the Edge Consortium & Chief Strategy Officer, NodeWeaver

Tom is a technology entrepreneur and leader with a history of challenging the status quo.  Prior to NodeWeaver he was SVP of Data Solutions at Verizon-Terremark. While there, his team introduced the industry’s first Cloud-based Disaster Recovery service, which was recognized as an industry leader by both Gartner and Forrester.  He also led the development of Verizon’s Cloud Storage and Cloud-based backup services.  Prior to Verizon-Terremark, he was CEO of Accris, the largest storage-focused integrator in Florida before being acquired by Terremark in 2006.  Before Accris, Tom was the Chief Systems Architect for Florida’s SunPass, a revolutionary automated toll collection system that improves the lives of millions of Floridians every day.  Tom spent several years in the special operations community, is an alumnus of the US Army Airborne School, and has summited some of the world’s highest peaks.  He completed his undergraduate studies in Aerospace Engineering.
