Si Brown
Chief Technology Officer, FARFAR Co-Founder & CTO Si Brown graduated with a master’s degree in VR (Virtual Reality) from Teesside University back in 1997. A few years working in Industry followed but since 1999 Si has been the archetypal entrepreneur, founding & growing 18 businesses with varying levels of scale & success.
Exiting his Digital Brand Agency ‘Calm’ in 2009 Si provided consultancy/NED services, before finally moving back into cutting-edge interactive technologies, focussing on AR in 2012 with the formation of skignz™ one of the market leaders in Precise Location AR over the last decade.
Si is a member of a range of organizations, whilst been nominated for and winning many awards, often providing Keynote speeches at many conferences & events across the world.
His inspiring, engaging, and honest delivery is themed around AR as a Utility, Precise/Exact Location Augmented Reality, Metaverse and the ups/downs of Entrepreneurship.
Si spends as much time as possible with his two teenage daughters &rescue dog at his home in North Yorkshire, UK. Si enjoys Architecture, Reading and all digital tech. Born/bred in Middlesbrough and a former pro footballer & coach. He supports Middlesbrough FC, an allegiance that has taught him, to always celebrate every win!
