A large data center campus is being proposed outside Atlanta, Georgia.

Swearingen Consulting has submitted a development of regional impact application with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a data center project known as 0 Rocky Creek.

The development is set to be located at the SE intersection of Rocky Creek Road and GA Highway 20 W in Hampton, Henry County, south of Atlanta.

Details around the project are minimal, with the description listing it as a 1.25 million sq ft (116,130 sqm) data center. The facility is set to launch in 2028.

The company behind the project is unclear. New York-based real estate consulting firm Swearingen filed the application via Red Wolf DCD Properties, LLC.

Company founder Christy Swearingen has previously held roles at Amazon, Microsoft, EdgeConneX, and Oracle.

Atlanta is a major data center hub, with many developments clustered around Fulton and Douglas Counties to the west of Atlanta.
