Oracle is set to deploy GPU-based infrastructure in a dedicated Digital Realty data center in Northern Virginia.

The move is part of a collaboration between the two companies to provide artificial intelligence (AI) services for enterprises.

According to Digital Realty's website, the company has 16 data centers in Northern Virginia that are move-in ready. Which facility the Oracle collaboration will be deployed in has not been shared.

The GPU deployment will use Digital Realty's PlatformDigital data center solution.

The two companies have had a long-standing relationship. In 2018, it was shared that Digital Realty would be offering direct links to Oracle Cloud from 59 data centers across 14 metropolitan areas via FastConnect. There are currently only 11 points of presence as per the latest announcement.
