Following months of deliberations, DCD has announced the winners of the annual DCD Awards, celebrating the industry’s best data center projects and most talented people.

The winners received their trophies on Thursday evening, at a gala ceremony held at the Lancaster Hotel in London, hosted by comedian Deborah Frances-White.

The finalists were selected by an independent panel of data center experts from hundreds of entries, arriving from across the world.

  • Page Awards win

    Page wins DCD Design Team of the Year Award

    Winning the Design Team of the Year Award, at the DCD>Awards 2017, RagingWire selected Page to partner on the design of a new 1 million sq ft TX-1 campus in Garland, Texas.

    Whilst the client has traditionally used in-house design and construction personnel, this unique hybrid integrated project delivery model was developed to work at scale which improved design, quality, speed-to-market, and saved costs.

  • The Data Center Eco-Sustainability Awards

    Hydro66 scoops Data Center Eco-Sustainability Award

    Hydro66 is led and financed by Internet industry veteran David Rowe, founder and CEO of Easynet. Its first data center is located in the leading cloud and data center cluster in the Nordics and is powered using locally generated clean green hydropower.

    DigiPlex wins Data Center Operations Team of the Year Award - 2017

    Digiplex, the sustainable Nordic data center builder-operator, demonstrated a great improvement with cost savings that which earned them the Data Center Operations Team of the Year Award at DCD>Awards in 2017.

    Previously, Ulven was the oldest and worst performing of all DigiPlex’s data centers. In summer 2016, a team was convened to improve the facility’s performance, whose work resulted in a record-breaking annual energy cost saving.

    Microsoft’s ‘Stark and Simple’ design collapses the entire energy supply chain, into a small fuel cell at the top of each rack. The result is a very efficient generator that produces electricity and by-products that can be reused; like clean water, high grade heat, and pure CO2.
