Ross Litkenhous

Partner, Dahlgren Innovation Hub

Ross Litkenhous has been a fixture in the Greater Washington, DC real estate community for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, he has played an active role in shaping discussions and efforts related to data center taxation and economic incentives in the Mid- Atlantic. He currently leads several real estate companies located in Northern Virginia. He is the founder and managing partner of Cavalry Real Estate Advisors, a national property tax advisory firm, as well as the founder and CEO of Taxonics, one of the country’s leading real estate tax data and technology platforms. More recently he has joined forces with a small group of long-time peers and established industry colleagues in a new development effort known as the Dahlgren Innovation Hub. This new venture aims to deliver millions of square feet of new data center space across a 500-acre site in King George County, VA.

The Dahlgren site comprises 500 acres of land, and has been designated as one of three sites within a King George County economic development technology incentive zone which will result in a significant reduction in local tax burden on an end user. Additionally, Dahlgren Innovation Hub has partnered with Open Road Renewables which is beginning construction of a 200MW interconnecting substation with a battery storage facility on site.

In addition to his professional work, Ross has served as an elected member of the Falls Church, VA, city council and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Falls Church City Economic Development Authority. He has also held positions on a variety of boards and commissions, including the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and the Northern Virginia Regional Commission. Ross received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Birmingham- Southern College with a Distinction in Leadership Studies and holds an MBA with a specialization in Real Estate and Urban Development from the Kogod School of Business at American University. He lives with his wife and three daughters in the City of Falls Church.
