Equinix has completed Statement on Standards Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 Type II examinations which cover 47 operating data centers across North America.

The company said it has also achieved International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3402 Type II certification for 21 data centers in EMEA.

SSAE16 and  ISAE 3402 report on operational controls supporting data centers services and are both internationally recognized standards.

The operator said both standards describe its operational controls and assess the effectiveness of those controls based on testing conducting over a minimum six-month period.
