DCD>Enterprise Shanghai 2018, the 9th edition of the annual conference and expo will explore the full digital infrastructure transformation ecosystem on 7th June 2018, combined with the return of DCD China Data Center Week from 4th June to 7th June 2018.
More than 1000 professionals and industry heavyweights from across the global industry will gather at China’s tallest building, the Shanghai Tower Conference Center, in the heart of Shanghai to discuss from “mud to cloud”, how IT transformation is re-shaping enterprise data center and cloud infrastructure.
DCD>Enterprise forms part of China Data Center Week, which will include a full one-day conference, extensive expo, practical workshops, private briefings, expert-led training sessions, networking drinks receptions, data center site tours, partner events, speed networking activities and 1-2-1 meetings. Experts will tackle everything from investment, design, construction and deployment, to the issues faced in daily operation.
“The amount of data in China is expected to reach 8 Zettabyte (ZB), by 2020 - which will be 20 percent of total global data. This growth is driving a very fast data center build-out and refresh rate,” said Tom Winter, managing director APAC of DatacenterDynamics. “The week of events has been designed to address the challenges of data center build-outs and provide end-users with the opportunity to find the optimal solution partners to adapt to the new demands brought about by new technology trends like 5G, IoT, AI, automotive drive, blockchain, virtual reality, big data, edge computing, and BYOD.”
Insights from the Uptime Institute
DCD and global content partner, the Uptime Institute, are joining forces to deliver original content, which will offer in-depth insights into the regional data center and cloud ecosystems.
The program will cover the entire IT infrastructure stack, from design and build, and operational efficiencies, to edge compute, storage, network and cloud.
“Currently there is a strong and growing demand for high-density, redundant data center facilities in China,” said Philip Hu, managing director, North Asia for Uptime Institute. “This increased demand is causing shifts in both design and development of data centers across China. With the cloud, outsourcing of IT infrastructure services is also on the upswing, fuelling growth in the colocation industry. This event will offer broader insights to understand the China data center and cloud infrastructure market and build avenues to expand business in China.
