In this interview Romain Tranchant, operational systems manager at Colt Technology Services, explains why the global communications and colocation business chose to deploy data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software.

According to Tranchant, Colt wanted to improve visibility and better understand how it was utilizing valuable space inside its facilities. The company gave its customers three months to test an “empty” version of the system so they could get accustomed to new tools.

DCIM software has now been deployed across 29 Colt data centers.
