Further to the comments of Cisco's Gordon Thomson lauding the merits of Scotland and Ireland as favourable sites for data centers, the construction of two new facilities have been announced in Lockerbie and Inverness, Scotland.
According to Scotland on Sunday (Dec. 2), Scottish developer Peter Heuken has submitted plans to build a data farm in Lockerbie. Highlands and Islands Enterprise is expected to publish plans for a server farm in Inverness in the coming months
