Next month, senior representatives from some of the world’s most advanced data center operators will be sharing details on their own, unique infrastructure transformation journeys at the region’s most anticipated data center conference. DCD Converged SE Asia at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre – 14/15th September 2016 – is expecting a record turnout.

Guatham Vunnam, an Engineer in Facebook’s production-ready team will be sharing the inside story on how the social media giant monitors, deploys and sustains OCP hardware through its lifecycle.

Leo Chen from Alibaba Infrastructure Services will explain the Chinese way, where both scale and speed to market have played a major part in their data center technology innovations.

And Yuval Bachar, LinkedIn’s principal engineer for global infrastructure architecture and strategy, will share his more enterprise-friendly twist on open hardware adoption and LinkedIn’s Open19 initiative.

“Contrary to popular belief, the innovations at the Webscale end of the industry are highly relevant to the enterprise segment,” says George Rockett, CEO DatacenterDynamics. “Facebook’s Open Compute Project hardware is already being used by Goldman Sachs, Fidelity and Bank of America and LinkedIn’s new 19-inch rack format was purposefully designed for the standard data center facility.”

Want to know more about OCP?

The Open Compute Project Foundation will be running a two-hour introductory workshop at DCD Converged SE Asia on the 15th of September.
