Imran Latif, P.E.Chief Operating Officer - Scientific Data & Computing Facilities, Brookhaven National Laboratory
Imran leads the infrastructure and operations at the Scientific Computing Data Center facilities at Brookhaven National Laboratory, a United States Department of Energy National laboratory located in Upton, New York, on Long Island, NY. He manages the team comprising of architects, engineers, world known physicists and computational scientists on major design and construction projects supporting cutting edge scientific research.
Prior to joining the lab, he spearheaded large scale energy conservation, MEP design and build projects in NYC for leading financial, retail and telecom organizations.
Imran holds a bachelor’s and master’s in Mechanical Engineering from CUNY and a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of New York and Texas. Also, he holds numerous professional certifications including, Certified Energy Manager, Project Management Professional, LEED Green Associate, Certified Data Center Energy Professional and Certified Data Center Design Professional.
