Sheffield-based hosting company HA Hosting has bought the assets of failed Barnsley web-hosting company Nytram Hosting, so more than 100 small businesses can continue trading.

Nytram Hosting, which provided web hosting support for small businesses, ceased trading this summer, and its servers were due to be turned off. HA stepped in, acquired Nytram's assets and put a rescue deal uin place, so Nytram’s former clients could move into the 50 racks of HA's Tier II data center in Holbrook, Sheffield.

After hearing about the problems Nytram faced, HA devised a rescue package, and Nytram's customers should be able to continue trading without anyt loss of service, said HA Hosting co-founder and managing director Rory Delahoyde.

“For all concerned, it’s a win-win,” Delahoyde said. “The companies affected have been able to continue accessing their websites as normal and for us it has helped us to expand our web hosting offer, increasing our hosting portfolio by over 100 businesses overnight”.
