EtixEverywhere has acquired a majority stake in a Thai data center.
The company this week announced it had acquired a 67 percent interest in Genesis data center, which operates a facility in the Bang Chalong area of Bangkok, for around AU$15.2 million (US$10.8m)
The Genesis facility, now renamed ETIX Bangkok #1, is already live with 2.4MW of capacity. The data center will form the basis of a new data center campus which will be jointly developed with its local partner Interlink Telecom.

Genesis was launched in 2018 by Interlink, local IT firm Advanced Information Tech (AIT), and Thai industrial property development company WHA Corp. Interlink will continue to own 33 percent of the facility.

After Vantage acquired most of Etix’s European hyperscale footprint, ASX-listed Global Data Centre Group acquired the remainder of Etix in 2020. The company operates small Edge facilities in France, Belgium, and Columbia.
“Our customers are world-leading cloud and content service providers; they have very strict colocation requirement, and it has been difficult for them to find a data center that can match with their standards in Thailand with enough capacity for expansion.
