US colo firm CyrusOne has announced the availability of a request for proposal (RFP) template in to help enterprises compare, evaluate and decide on the best data center colocation provider.
The company said the RFP template draws on the joint experiences of data center industry “experts” who have assisted enterprises with developments in data center solutuions, finalizing contracts and implementing flexible and scalable IT environments.
The company said prospective customers can use the template to organize information around their specific requirements.
Key sections included in the RFP template are provider overview, building and property information, network services, risk overview, and availability review.
CyrusOne’s CMO Scott Brueggeman said that CIOs are learning that its more cost-effective to partner with a third party that provides colocation services rather than a company owned and operated data center.
“Our goal with the RFP template is to help even the most well-informed buyers streamline their selection process and ultimately choose the data center provider that best meets their business needs,” Brueggeman said.
