Having earned the DCS credential in Design Engineering, you demonstrated not only a significant commitment to your professional development, but an expert grasp of the topics explored, building a developed understanding of design & energy principles before honing in on advanced power & cooling or management specialisms.

However, to remain a certified Data Center Specialist in such a fast-paced sector, you must evolve with the industry. That's why two years on from certifying your expertise, it's time to refresh and keep your knowledge current, and re-certify to keep your 'Specialist' title.

To re-certify you must complete 12 hours of self-paced learning from our library of short, easily-digestible e-learning modules prior to your credential expiration date.

Our approach to recertification is about giving you access to the latest and most relevant learning material to challenge and expand your knowledge, rather than asking you to resit the same exam that you passed to earn your credential. By recertifying your DCS credential, you will have access to our library of curated e-learning content designed to deepen your understanding on the most important innovations and trends in the industry.

After you have successfully completed the required hours for your recertification pathway, you will receive an updated digital badge and social certificate, and will remain credentialed for an additional 2 years. You can continue using the DCS logo and post-nominals on LinkedIn, email signatures, and your other professional correspondence to demonstrate your control of the fundamentals of data center design and energy efficiency.
