India is considered to have one of the fastest growing data center markets in the world. A report by Cushman and Wakefield has indicated that digital data in India was around 40,000 petabytes in 2010 and is likely to shoot up to 2.3 million petabytes by 2020 — twice as fast as the global rate. The Indian data center market size is expected to reach USD 1.5 billion by 2022 from USD 1.0 billion in 2018, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 11.4% during the forecast period as per Markets and Markets.
Driven by the deeper internet penetration, increase in digital data traffic, public cloud services, higher expected growth for IoT and Government’s push for data localization, the demand for datacenters have increased in an unprecedented rate which now outstrips the available supply. So what strategies can be developed to meet these capacity requirements?
This webinar examines:
- The key markets within India for datacenter builds – their resources and capabilities
- What are the factors shaping demand – rise of social media and smartphone usage, role of data localization and Government initiatives like “Make in India” and “Digital India”
- How can the Indian data centers match global standards and practices?
