ASHRAE TC 9.9 has recently released the fifth edition of the Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments, primarily focused on two major changes.

This session will share the results of their latest research on the impact of humidity on reliability, and the addition of a new environmental class for high-density equipment. The updates to the naming of the liquid cooling classes to expand those further for liquid cooled equipment, and better represent maximum facility water temperatures will also be examined.
