In this video, the second in our data centre innovation series, Lex Coors, Chief Engineering Officer at Interxion, discusses some of the innovations that Interxion has introduced over the years. For example while the TIA 942 standard recommends the use of water sprinklers, Interxion only uses gas suppression systems. This means that you can continue to operate through fire alarms, resulting in zero disruption to the operation.

He also looks forward and discusses which new technologies are most likely to impact future data centre designs: quantum computing, liquid-nitrogen cooling, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence.
