At events across the world dedicated to exploring the future of mission-critical infrastructure, there will be military veterans occupying seats in the conference halls and scoping out technological solutions on the exhibition floor. With organizations such as Salute Inc., wholly dedicated to combating the talent gap by transforming military veterans into world-class data center technicians, there is evidence to showcase how well suited and transferrable ‘vet skills’ are to the world of data center deployment, management and decommissioning. Kirk will be joined by a panel of military veterans with experience in operating mission-critical infrastructure. They will be on-hand to talk through how they transitioned into the data center industry, which skills they possessed which were easily transferable, what skills was not, which areas training should be focused on and the benefits of transition.
