Leo Chen, the Senior Architect behind Alibaba Infrastructure Service’s new Zhangbei Cloud Data Center will be sharing his experience and insights on 9 November, during his afternoon plenary keynote at DCD Converged Hong Kong 2016. He will take the audience through the journey undertaken to design and build Alibaba’s Zhangbei Cloud Data Center.

Phase 1 of the US$2.9bn cloud base was launched in April this year. The Zhangbei Cloud Data Center will host 80% of Alibaba’s cloud and big data services, reflecting the company’s intentions to expand its offerings in these high demand areas.

We need to constantly challenge attitudes and practices in technology adoption, in order to bring forward “smart thinking” across the design and operation of IT infrastructure,” says Leo Chen, IDC Senior Architect, Alibaba Infrastructure Service.
