DCD's data center training, learning, and development unit, DCPro, is rebranding to DCD>Academy.

DC Professional Development Ltd (DCPro), a leading global provider of mission-critical learning and development services to the data center industry has been fully acquired by DCD International Ltd (DCD), the world’s leading media and events business for the data center industry. The new division will be called the DCD>Academy.

“By combining DCPro's proprietary education framework with DCD's growing library of premium content resources, we're looking forward to creating powerful blended learning solutions that enable truly continuous professional development for the industry,” said George Rockett, DCD CEO. “The acquisition will allow us to invest more into digital and adaptive learning solutions.”

DCD has recruited B2B training industry veteran, Darren McGrath, to lead the expanded division as Managing Director of DCD>Academy, and will look to leverage DCD’s content and global audience reach to build best-in-class learning and development frameworks. Darren was previously leader of learning and development at SoftwareONE, Capita, Bureau Veritas, and SGS.

“It’s exciting to be joining the DCD group at a time of huge industry growth, where talent and skills development is so strategically important to meeting increased demand,” said Darren. “We’re uniquely positioned to help different segments of the data center industry with the upskilling challenge, from onboarding new staff to providing specialized development pathways for design engineering, critical operations, and business support.”

In 2021, DCD>Academy (formally DCPro) enrolled 1,821 students in their instructor-led classrooms around the world, using a network of 40+ recognized subject matter experts. Its digital learning programs are used internationally by leading data center service providers with more than 15,815 modules completed in the last 12 months.
