BICSI is a global not-for-profit association supporting designers and installers of information transport systems (ITS) for residential, commercial and government applications. This industry encompasses not only voice and data, including outside plant and LAN, but also audio, video, life safety and security, and automation systems. It encompasses the design, integration and installation of pathways, spaces, fiber- and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and data center infrastructure that supports the transportation of information and associated signaling between and among communications and information gathering devices.
