Moore's law: still true for processors, no longer valid for memory

Moore's law: still true for processors, no longer valid for memory

Mastering EDA environments with high-performance memory technology

Published 21st August, 2012 by Chris Bell, Scott Clark and Ryan Radcliff - Deopli Corp.

Memory densities have slowed in the last decade. As such, the trend is forcing the software and systems used to design these semiconductors to expand their use of memory to align with increased transistor count. We will explore how memory technology is currently designed, how its cost is derived, and the barriers that exist in designing larger and more cost effective capacity.
