DatacenterDynamics Converged Shenzhen will address some of the most pressing topics in the Chinese data center industry with input from a range of international and local speakers when it kicks off tomorrow, 27 March.
Discussions and presentations will focus on energy efficiency, design and construction and optimization and outsourcing at the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen.
The one-day event follows a half-day workshop on energy efficiency enhancement held by data center expert Dale Sartor, from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, on 26 March.
Sartor will also speak at the main event along representatives from companies such as Yahoo!, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and other data center owners, vendors and end-user companies, who will share cutting-edge concepts, advanced technologies and unique solutions through technical presentations, case studies and panel discussions.
It will be the first DCD Converged conference in Asia Pacific for 2012 and more than than 400 delegates, 11 featured speakers and 18 exhibitors will attend.
Don Beaty, President of DLB Associates and ASHRAE Fellow, will provide a keynote speech on ASHRAE’s class changes for chiller-less data centers, exploring opportunities for better cooling solutions.
Mozan Totani, project manager of Yahoo! Data Center Development in North America, will talk about the design concepts and fast project delivery method behind its most energy efficient data center (PUE 1.08), the Yahoo! Computing Coop (YCC) in New York.
Data Center Consultant Haifeng Qu from DC-Team will present his views on factors to be considered while constructing infrastructure for data centers.
Looking closely at China’s cloud plans, Leif Nielsen, Cloud Solution Architect for Intel APAC, will make an analysis on how cloud and new technologies are changing the way data centers service their customers while Enso Li, Senior Engineer of Data Center Architecture and Planning from Tencent will give his perspectives on the development trends for data center operations over the next five to ten years.
Zhong Jinghua from China Electronics Engineering Design Institute will illustrate his views regarding testing standards for China’s data centers and David Chan from Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing will offer insight into strategies for operating and maintaining the data center.
Other speakers will represent the expertise and views of well-known data center companies including Schneider Electric, Chat Union Climaveneta Group and Siemens, covering data center management, green data center planning and the intellectualization of data centers. Rittal, DC Systems of ABB Group and Stulz GmbH will introduce their cooling design concepts, performance enhancement methods and analysis of outside air cooling.
A number of panel discussions will also be held at the event looking at the feasibility of the mission-critical cloud computing with available solutions and how fast innovation in engineering needs to be meet the future demands of enterprise IT.
