TelecityRedbus, a leading provider of colocation, managed hosting and connectivity services in Europe, has announced the launch and development of four new facilities in its core markets of London, Amsterdam and Paris.
The Ôé¼20 million developments add over 34,000 square feet of advanced high-density and managed hosting space to TelecityRedbus's European footprint, and are the latest phase of an aggressive investment programme to meet both current and future customer demand. Details of further investments are planned to be announced later this year.
The expansion of one of Europe's most sophisticated data center networks will provide both new and existing customers with access to an extensive portfolio of managed infrastructure services to support their business IT infrastucture.
Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityRedbus, comments: "The rapid growth of web-based multimedia services and applications over the last few years, and the associated rise in demand from power and cooling capabilities required to support such applications, has vastly increased demand on data centre facilities, and this trend is set to continue. Today's announcement demonstrates our commitment to delivering not just additional data center capacity, but the highest quality facilities and support to ensure that whatever our customers' IT infrastructure requirements, we have the service to match.
The new facilities and data center expansion announced include:
London - TelecityRedbus has completed the construction of 4,000 square feet of dedicated high-density data center space in its Oliver's Yard facility capable of supporting demands of up to 20kW per rack, the highest hosting-related power and cooling capability currently available in the UK.
An additional 10,000 square feet is currently being added to the Sovereign House facility in Docklands, due for completion later this year.
Amsterdam - TelecityRedbus is developing 8,000 square feet of dedicated high-density data center space at its facility in Amsterdam Science Park. Due for completion this summer, the new high-power facility will be the first of its kind in the Netherlands, and will also be capable of supporting demands of up to 20kW per rack.
Paris - TelecityRedbus has completed the construction of 12,000 square feet of new managed data center space, in its Aubervilliers facility offering a power capacity of up to 15kW per rack.
