Redwood Shores, California-based iSheriff recently launched eight new cloud data centers in the Europe and Middle East regions. The expansion includes Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Poland, Iceland, Belgium, Austria and the Isle of Man (UK).

The company explained that, unlike many of its competitors’ that use a “big iron” approach, its Cloud Security Network is fully virtualized, which allowed it to deploy and launch the new data centers within hours. “Customers are automatically routed to the nearest data center,” the firm added.

iSheriff offers only cloud-based managed Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, which includes compliance, web, email, and endpoint security products. The company claims to operate “the world’s largest cloud security network,” which previously included 25 data centers on six continents. This, said iSheriff, allows its customers to “select the regions where their policies and log data are stored, to enable compliance with local data privacy regulations.”

“At iSheriff, we provide our customers with the industry’s best multi-tenant cloud security platform that is the simplest and most cost effective way to protect data and devices from digital threats,” said Paul Lipman, CEO of iSheriff, in a statement. “The addition of these new EMEA cloud data centers reflects the tremendous business traction that we are experiencing in the region.”
