IBM launched a new security intelligence platform it says can integrate more than 400 sources of data protection and analytics to not only detect, but predict future breaches across an organization.

Using real-time data feeds, the QRadar Security Intelligence Platform, designed following IBM’s takeover of Q1 Labs last year, uses the IBM-X-Force threat feed, one of the world’s largest.

It provides insights from the infrastructure, identity management, applications and data in a data center to offer a unified approach to security, IBM Security Systems general manager Brendan Hannigan said.

“Trying to approach security with a piece-part approach simply doesn't work. By applying analytics and knowledge of the latest threats and helping integrate key security elements, IBM plans to deliver predictive insight and broader protection," Hannigan said.
