Upsite Technologies signed a partnership deal with Tate Access Floors to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of raised floor environments for data centers.

The firms are coming together to jointly promote the versatility, efficiency, and other defined benefits of using a raised floor environment in new data center buildings.

In a presenation and video interview forDatacenterdynamics Neil Rasmussen, SVP of Innovation at APC by Schneider said that raised floor designs are outdated and should be consigned to history. This has sparked debate across the industry about the suitability of raised floor solutions for today's high density data center environments.

Upsite’s product lines, KoldLok Grommets and HotLok Blanking Panels, are designed to deliver cooling efficiency in raised floor environments by eliminating bypass airflow. Tate’s Direct Aire, SmartAire, and Power Aire products achieve similar efficiency goals by allowing data centers to deliver exactly the appropriate amount of air needed to cool equipment where it’s needed most.

"Together, our companies’ solutions address the need for promoting the highest efficiency environment for data centers. This will result in higher energy savings and lower costs for our customers," said Ken Sowards, President of Upsite Technologies.
