Germany-based Rittal has released a new micro data center modular rack solution that takes a scalable approach right down to cable inlets.

The Micro Data Center Level E is compatible with Rittal’s TS IT rack and includes 482.6mm server racks and a number of climate control devices.

Cable inlets in the side panels allow up to four safes to be connected as well as existing server racks.

The rack itself can be upgraded using a number of accessories into a class four security room and cable inlets can also be provided in larger-than-standard diameter plastic tubing for water inlet and return flow when using climate control devices with Rittal Liquid Cooling Packages.

“Options and extras are modular and freely combinable,” Rittal said.

“There is a wide choice of add-ons, such as the Rittal Computer Multi Control III (CMC III) monitoring system and a variety of climate control solutions, including Rittal LCP. Also available is the DET-AC Plus fire detection and extinguishing system, the intelligent Power Distribution Unit (PDU) and the Power System Module (PSM). [and] a range of locking mechanisms.”
