British data center and cloud computing specialist Node4 has opened a new London office to better serve new and existing customers in the south of England.

It will host support functions and serve as a showroom for Node4’s facilities.

National expansion
Node4 operates two data centers in Derby, one in Leeds and one in Northampton. The company offers colocation, managed hosting, connectivity, SIP trunking and hosted telephony services. It also runs its own cloud platform, the N4Coloud.

Node4 says it had to extend its presence if it was to meet the increasing demand for support. The new facility is located in the City of London, also known as the ‘Square Mile’, an area that has traditionally attracted the insurance, financial and legal sectors.

“The opening of a London office is another example of Node4’s commitment to building a truly national presence,” said Paul Bryce, business development director at Node4.

“London-based businesses will benefit from localized customer support and technical expertise across the region. This ensures that we can serve customers in the south in the best possible way as well as attract new ones.”

Node4’s acquisition of cloud infrastructure specialist Letn Solutions earlier this year had already given it a new office in Reading.

The acquisition extended Node4’s cloud portfolio by adding Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), disaster recovery and virtualization services. Meanwhile, existing Letn customers are now being offered Node4 services, such as colocation, connectivity and communication packages.

In May, Node4 launched a partnership with business continuity vendor Zerto to offer Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service via the N4Cloud.
