Dallas, Texas-based data center provider DataBank Holdings announced the acquisition of VeriSpace, a colocation services provider based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The acquisition gives DataBank an instant entry into a new geographic market and brings its data center portfolio to eight locations (from two in Dallas). The company now has more than 180,000 sq ft of data center space under management in Texas and Minnesota.

Tim Moore, DataBank CEO, said the company had been working hard on expanding into new markets, and VeriSpace was the perfect vehicle to do so. “VeriSpace has a strong market presence and provides service to a number of the region’s top businesses,” he said.

“We are continuing to execute on our plan. This first step in Minnesota gives us a great location in which to launch our expansion efforts, and we will be developing additional high-quality data center capacity here in the coming year.”
