Coca Cola is in advanced discussions with HP to outsource its Atlanta based data center operation to the IT giant according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper.

The report, though light on detail said that the firms were finalising the movement of around 95 staff from the drinks firm to HP.

HP's outsourcing business is HP Enterprise Services, the division was renamed one year after the company bought IT services and outsourcing firm EDS.

EDS, as was, is in the last year of a three and a year extension to a services deal with Coca Cola FEMSA, the largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America and second largest in the world.
