Data center operator 1-Net Singapore has announced a strategic partnership with Cyber CSF in Indonesia and TCC Technology (TCCT) in Thailand. The collaboration is designed to provide customers with seamless access to data center services across the region, and entails the harmonization of key operations.

Local customers looking to expand their data center deployments will now have access to a comprehensive portfolio of data center services, cloud offerings, and network and security solutions from 1-Net, Cyber CSF and TCCT.

Common obligations, terms and conditions, as well as operational methodology to govern the commercial arrangement will be spelt out for each service. Importantly, these will also be offered with a uniform service level agreement (SLA).

Mutual benefit
In a call with DatacenterDynamics FOCUS, Wong Ka Vin, managing director of 1-Net explained that the partners will be working to align their products “to look very similar.” While each company will maintain their own set of product offerings, they will be shared so that the sales teams will have access to the offerings of their partners.

Wong took pains to emphasize that the partnership does not mean that customers cannot buy services directly from these partners. “Should the customer go direct to the team in Indonesia - for example - they can do so, too,” he said.

TCCT operates three data centers in Thailand: one at the Empire Tower Data Center (ETDC) in the central business district area of Bangkok, the new Bangna Data Center (BNDC) near the international airport serving Bangkok, and a data center at Amata Nakorn (AMDC) in the eastern part of Thailand. Meanwhile Cyber CSF operates a purpose-built Uptime Certified data center in Jakarta.

In June, 1-Net announced a new 200,000 sq ft facility located at Marsiling in Singapore. Known as 1-Net North, it is expected to become operational in the last quarter of 2015, becoming Singapore’s first Tier III data center certified by the Uptime Institute.

In a separate report on Thailand and its data center sector earlier this month, Wong had identified the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, as one of three top locations that 1-Net has its eye on for future data center growth in the region. This partnership is no doubt a step towards realizing Wong’s belief.
