Microsoft Corp has entered into a partnership with San Antonio Water System (SAWS) that will see the organization able to use more than 130 million gallons of recycled water a year.
The use of recycled water eliminates the need to pump fresh water from the Edwards Aquifer as a way to conserve limited water supplies.
Microsoft is currently constructing a $550 million datacenter in San Antonio, which will use more than 250 acre-feet of recycled water annually to help keep its computer servers cool.
