The $5.5 million renovation of a Milwaukee building near 76th Street and Good Hope Road to become Virtual Care Provider's new VCPI Technology Center, has been completed.
The VCPI Technology Center includes sophisticated state-of-the-art servers, for the provision of data support for 1,600 long-term care and assisted living companies throughout the US.
"Our customers and clients count on us to ensure their important data is stored securely and safely, and that is why Virtual Care Provider facilities must be located in areas that are not prone to natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes or extreme and volatile weather conditions. The Midwest is an ideal location, and Milwaukee is a great place for a growing high-tech company like VCPI," said Loren Claypool, vice president and managing director of VCPI. "When analyzing locations for expansion, Milwaukee offered everything we needed to ensure the data security our customers demand. We have also found a dependable and reliable supply of skilled high-tech workers here who enjoy a city on a lake with lots of recreation and a vibrant downtown filled with arts, music and cultural events that complement young professional lifestyles. That's important because more and more health care and long-term care companies are outsourcing their technology service needs, which allows us to continue to grow."
The new VCPI Technology Center covers 22,000 square feet and includes room for future expansion, Claypool said.
