Midwest data center services provider Cosentry is investing more than US$2m to upgrade its data center networking capability by deploying its Next Generation Network.

Cosentry will use Cisco’s Nexus 7000 Series Switches and Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers to provide infrastructure scalability, improved operational continuity and enhanced transport flexibility.

Updated data center interconnections will provide a fully redundant 10Gb MPLS backbone to increase data speeds, disaster recovery replication between facilities and backup services.

Cosentry experienced company growth of 20%, with the Kansas City market growing more than 40%.

The company said its notable momentum is its ability to provide a 'comprehensive suite' of IT infrastructure outsourcing solutions.

Cosentry has also completed the acquisition and integration of St. Louis-based data center provider Xiolink.

The acquisition has extended Cosentry’s footprint to four Midwest market with eight data centers including Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha and Sioux Falls.
